A White, Blush, and Green Color Palette for an Outdoor Wedding
Nestled in the rolling hills of Franklin, Tennessee, Southall Meadows provided the perfect setting for this refined October wedding.
For this celebration, we designed with blush and white flowers accented with lush, garden-inspired greenery. The florals were intentionally loose and romantic, creating an organic yet polished aesthetic that perfectly complemented Southall Meadows’ pastoral backdrop. From the sunset ceremony under a sprawling tree to the candlelit reception in the barn, every detail highlighted the couple's timeless, celebratory style.
The lush bridal bouquet featured trailing amaranthus, dahlias, astilbe, larkspur, carnations, Queen Anne's lace, garden roses, maidenhair fern, and a single anemone.
One of our favorite ways to amplify the impact of wedding florals is by thoughtfully repurposing ceremony designs for the reception. For this Southall Meadows wedding, the lush white and blush arrangements that framed the ceremony entrance were repurposed at the reception, seamlessly blending the ceremony’s romantic garden-inspired aesthetic into the evening's celebration.
After the vows were exchanged beneath Southall Meadows’ iconic tree, these ceremony florals were carefully moved to the front of the band's stage where they served as a gorgeous focal point for the reception. The arrangements not only concealed the band’s speakers but also created an attractive barrier between the dance floor and the stage. This intentional placement tied the two spaces together, ensuring the design felt cohesive and polished as guests moved into the evening.
Larger installations like entrance arrangements, aisle markers, or altar florals translate beautifully into reception spaces, where they can be given a second life. Whether framing a cake table, accenting the head table, or, as seen here, enhancing the stage, repurposed florals allow for both beauty and practicality.
For this wedding, the blush, white, and greenery-forward palette carried effortlessly from the sunlit ceremony into the candlelit reception, tying each space together and creating a timeless, romantic atmosphere.
